Burning Man History

2019 Metamorphoses – We are going to do this supersized this year. I am volunteering more in camp as opposed to outside. This year I will only do Greeter and Airport shifts.

2018 I Robot - I had a wonderful time with my new camp-mate now burner sister Laura. We painted the playa in rainbow colors as we explored. I volunteered with the Airport, Greeters, Artery and my camp this year.

2017 Radical Rituals - Honeymoon Year - no kids this year - volunteered with Greeters, the Artery, the Airport, and my camp.

2016 DaVinci's Workshop - virgin year - went with my 19 year old daughter, volunteered with Greeters and at my camp.

Why burning Man?
I have wanted to go for years so as soon as my kids were grown I figured out how to get my ticket. And off I went it was the most wonderful experience ever. I know I'm a lifer already. I love the art of burning man, you never know what you will see next around the corner.


Favorite Moments
*When you first arrive on Playa of the smell of the dust starts to fill your car.
*When you're standing at will call and you have your ticket in your hand. Wahoo.
*When you get to greeters and you get that first Dusty hug awesome.
*When you're at camp and greeting all of your friends as they arrive.
*When you're riding around and find wonderful sparkly fabulous things to enjoy and do and taste and feel and see.
*Trash Can Turkey day, too much to list.

Toughest thing: Going home, I'm so thankful that I have friends to share that time with and make leaving fun instead of a bummer.
