Been to Burning Man before? Nope

Why Burning Man? I've done the Kentucky Derby and a couple of weeks at Hedonism. Mardis Gras is on my bucket list. But from what I've read about Burning Man it seems like it is the mother of all events. I convinced my wife and my best friend to join me in the fun. It is interesting when I tell my friends that we are going. 9 out of 10 have never heard of Burning Man! They look at me like I'm an alien when I try to explain it. Remind me to find new friends who are more hip.

A Little About Me: I'm 55 and am easing into retirement from life as a bit-rammer. My wife and I met as ballroom dance assistant instructors. We're into cards and have been dabbling at bridge. We are wine aficionados and have over 2,000 bottles in the cellar. I plan on stopping by the Black Rock Wine Cellar to drop off some friends. I play volleyball and my best friend is also my doubles partner. I'm bringing a net and lines in case there is room to set them up for some pick-up games.

On Camping With PP - thank god. I was totally overwhelmed with the logistics of my first Burning Man. I thought by the end of the week I'd be a smelly dust-bunny living on protein bars.
