Where do you call home?
Austin, TX
Been to Burning Man before? When?
Not yet, but I've participated in 10 of the last 13 Burning
Flipsides in Austin and a wide assortment of other regional
events.
Camped with PolyParadise Before?
Nope
Who I Am - Happy, creative, professional,
self-sufficient, down-to-earth momma...comfortable in my own
skin, confident in my abilities, aware of my boundaries but
not afraid of pushing them. Recently relocated to the big
city, spreading my wings and learning to fly solo.
While attending "Orfunner" in Austin
last year, watching the Man burn @ BRC via webcam, I got the
call that my home was burning in Bastrop...irony or
synchronicity? Reality show: "Extreme Home Makeover :
Material Transcendence Edition" :) It has been a truly
enlightening experience, liberating in every way and I am
finally free to live for me. In January, my best friend and
I divorced, keeping the 'best friends' part of our
relationship intact and thriving. I've been poly since waaay
before I knew there was a name for it and am becoming
involved in the local poly community.
Why Burning Man? – Because it is my idea of
Utopia...harsh, beautiful, wild, bountiful, awe-inspiring,
cooperative, burning bliss. Or maybe something else, I don't
really know, just that I've wanted/felt compelled to be part
of BRC since I knew it existed and I strive to apply the 10
principals to all facets of my life. This year, due to
circumstances beyond my control, I have been gifted the
opportunity to participate and i am grateful.
Toughest Thing - The limitations of linear
time...it's waaay overrated.
Best Thing -Love, truth and hugs!
Burning Man Advice - Yes, I've received
lots of advice and hope for more :)
