Who Am I:
I'm easy going- kindness is my religion, though I do
believe some nastiness is a gift I can offer when the
moment is right. In the default world I'm a kink-aware
therapist who is constantly learning about life from my
clients. I love my work, being Poly-parents with Bone,
and building cool stuff whenever I have the chance to.
Why Burning Man?
Many of the people I love and admire most have been
attending for years and are changed by it. Last year I
finally made plans to come with our 10 year old daughter
but when she opted out at the last minute I came alone
and stayed with friends in Kidsville. It was truly a
Rite of Passage for me- and not the one I was expecting!
I thought I came for the art- I was once a welder and
love the SCALE of playa art. But it was the energy of
the people that really drew me in.
The giving without expectation of return, and well, the
love, I felt it, and it's for reals! I'm excited to come
back home- this time with my husband and polypartner of
20 years, Bone Ami. We are so happy to camp with other
poly people. Being in a long term poly relationship is
like being in desert climate for me- not always easy,
but worth the extra effort it takes- and usually very
HOTT!
Toughest Thing;
The heat, takes me a while to get acclimated. Nighttime
I come back to life. Also, not talking about the Burn
constantly weeks before and after seems pretty tough.
Best Things:
The hugs, being our most awesome-selves and feeling like
this is who we really are, and falling asleep on the
Temple floor.
Volunteering:
Yes, I want to! My plan is to be helpful wherever I
can...but perhaps I should make a more formal
commitment?
Burning Man Advice:
Virgins- Decorate your bike in a way that makes it easy
to find even when your mind is blown by what you just
saw. It can be a bit unnerving wandering around looking
for yours.
