Camper Bios - 2012
ahem;
Budd and Bunnie are going home, contrary to what the
legendary poet Emmerson would have us to believe, it is
possible. 2011 found these dusty playa vets in a
regroup, recovery, reorganize mode due to the closing of
their soul food restaurant in central Phoenix as result
of the dire economy. Said Budd "...we put our everything
into that space, and as many lessons that we learned we
had no regrets, we'd do it all over again..." and to wit
Bunnie adds "... Our only regret was we didn't budget
into our plan our Burningman Tickets etc., we were
devastated when we came up short..." that was then this
is NOW!
This will be their 5th burn and their daughter Indigo's
3rd and collectively, first time being so close to
center camp and ALL OF THE ACTION! In the past they've
camped usually out as far as H or I, and their biggest
joy has been their gift of cooking for all of their
playa neighbors and anyone within screaming distance who
will respond to the shouts of "Soup's On" or the classic
"Come and Get It!" Says Bunnie "...we just love the
communal feel of the table and the nurturing effect that
a meal has on ones soul..." as a mother of four fabulous
children who are all departing the nest this Summer, she
knows a thing or two about nurturing. Budd also provides
more insight "...who doesn't love waking up to the smell
of bacon sizzling on the grill, and knowing that there
are gonna be some fluffy hotcakes and eggs that are
pillow soft waiting to greet their sleepy head eyes on
the other end..." "Around the table, when we sup with
one another is where the greatest stories are told an
where we truly learn about ourselves ..."
Man are we pumped!
