Camper Bios - 2012
Name:
Fearecia Maddox (Faye for short)
Where is home: I currently reside in the
upper elevations of Colorado, dodging the bears and the moose.
In general, though, home is where I am safe and comfortable,
and where my husband is (Sere Robert Maddox).
A little about me: I'm a massage therapist by
day, and artist of many trades by night. I used to do nursing
before I did massage and my knowledge of the human body and
how it works is rather expansive. If you want some advice or
have a bad shoulder you'd like a little relief from, toss me a
line. Chances are I can at least provide a little help and if
nothing else, I'm fascinated by the various random crud the
body loves to do. Lol. I love trying to figure it out. We'll
be bringing a massage table to the playa, so be on the lookout
for us! (We won't be bringing sheets, so please be clothed or
have a towel with you).
As for my art, well, I'll be easily spotted as the black
dragon wandering around the playa. Money permitting, I have a
full body costume in the works and well, it should be amusing
if nothing else. I'm only planning on wearing the monstrosity
during the cooler times of evening and night. Otherwise, I do
the regular trades of painting and digital art, along with
pottery, chainmaille (jewelry), costuming, and writing. One of
these days I'd love to get into glass blowing or even welding,
but those are a little more expensive on the startup costs.
Lol.
Burning Man: Well, I'm a first time burner. My husband told me
about Burning Man around about 2009 when we first hooked up.
It sounds utterly fascinating, though a bit daunting. A week
plus in the desert? When you are as white as I am? Lol.
Needless to say on my list of things to do is sew "desert
clothing" for me and my husband. We both burn like crazy, so
long sleeves and pants are a must for us. I am, however,
definitely looking forward to the "radical inclusion" aspect
of the community of Burning Man. When you are both kinky and
therian, it can be very hard to find acceptance for the
entirety of yourself. I must say I'm really looking forward to
the Class of Thursday Ropework at the 4Peas. Robert seriously
needs some lessons! Lol. Otherwise, I'm trying to figure out
what little things I can do for gifts that won't cost us an
arm and a leg.
Anyway, looking forward to seeing everyone there!
